Heart

Scarlet candles, going nowhere
Hidden chambers, forlorn angels,
After midnight secret despair
Scarlet candles.

Tears of passion through life’s trials.
For spent pleasures never compare,
Where hope shines bright, through pure vials,

Loves desire, each beat aware,
Beautiful grace, tender ripples,
Divine tremor each vein prepare
Scarlet candles.

(Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow – Isaiah 1:18)

  3. Divine seems right when red candles and vials of hope coexist. "Never compare" you sneak in to bridge between ideas, and I imagine a person on his/her knees at prayer. Red candles, scarlet blood flow in our veins.
