Evolve

Don’t blow your breath on worry
Grasp the air
Surging up
Pushing into
A clouded mirror
Make your way
Towards light
Begin to stir
Reaching out to touch your presence
Struggle to connect
Drawn to light
Open up
Find the brightness
Discover wonder
Break out
And evolve
Into new life
Don’t blow your breath on worry
Set your spirit free
Worship

The Prodigal

He cannot undo the past
Tasting the bitterness of shame
Haunted by embarrassment
Cast adrift in helplessness,
Towards the house where he was born,
Grew up,
Longed to be free.

His miserable, repentant steps
No shoes heavy on his feet,
Weighted down only by a forlorn heart
Riddled with guilt.

Awaiting his father’s burning response,
A moment through unworthy eyes,

His father running
His father’s love
His father’s embrace
His father’s acceptance

Before the fog of sorrow raises its sword,
A dance of joy, compassion with a kiss.

The best robe
Ring on his finger
Sandals on his feet

This is my son, who has come home.

Crimson Gift

Burning bondage sears my mind
Silver and gold
Are powerless to help
Answer
The hex of my life.

The healing ransom of infinite value
Suffering and death
Purchased for those who
Trust
The liberation of my life

Embrace the crimson gift
Ransomed and loved
Clothed in the righteousness of
Christ
The enchantment of my life.

Gold

Pure divine glory,
Undiluted, unadulterated.
Hammered, beaten, shaped,
Gold, pure, created by God’s word.
An altar crafted
A place of atonement
Mercy, made of unpolluted love,
Given, hidden,
Within human fragility,
Touching hearts, giving
Life, created with God’s Spirit.
Pure holy fire,
Burning, shaping, molding,
Crafted with skill
Beaten within reach
A sacrifice of pure gold,
An offering poured out ruby wine,
In the place of wrath and
Driven by love,
Pure divine love,
Intimate, intertwined, interwoven,
Sinless, created in God’s Son.
Mercy
In the place of crafted sweat,
In the heart of desire,
Under a golden grace covenant,
A dance of joy,
An eternal delight,
Bruised and created, for
Intimate love.

Crimson Trust

Abandonment
Spectacular abuse
Pressure to capitulate
Tempted to the fullest force
Tasted our struggle
Bids us
Receive
With confidence
He is with us
When we feel our need
Understands us
Sympathize
Our cry
What a difference
Held deep in crimson trust
In his presence
He helps
Us.

Crimson One

Kings son
Lowers his crown
Intrusion of vile sin
Bears our experience of pain
Came down

Offered
God’s anointed
A servant qualified
He is never to be replaced
Finished

One priest
Final sacrifice
Our endless substitute
Story of the crimson one
Complete

Crimson Flow

The deepest longing
Everlasting gift
Longest adventure
Pure delight
Dazzling morning
Blinding light
Crimson flow
Brings us to God

Once far away
Nothing added
Without hope
In a vast void
Wrath removed
Chasm bridged
Crimson flow
Brings us to God

Experience his love
Lasting joy
Displayed in grace
Wonderful liberty
Treasures abound
Crowns of glory
Crimson flow
Brings us to God

Crimson Touch

From devoted eternity
Spirit moves over time
And calls in a whisper
Reconciliation.

Where God in Christ
Showed delight in us
And from their abundant union
Reconciliation

The crimson touch
To remove the obstacle
Infinitely valuable gift
Reconciliation

Suffered in our place
Our offense redeemed
Nothing separates
Reconciliation

Sin completely forgiven
Eternal sacrifice
Offered free
Reconciliation

Crimson Power

Delivered
Set free
Liberating crimson power
Destroying evils enslaving hold
The resounding cry of freedom
Breaking the wisdom of the age
Transformed from our darkened spiritual condition
Released into the light of the gospel of glory.

Crimson River

Years past, countless seconds, hearts longing,
Eternity, the fulfillment of the void,
Inside yearning for loves tender hold
Towards the day, when I can embrace
The all satisfying glory of God.

A crimson river cascades near me,
Overwhelming deluge pure and intense,
Eternal life supreme in its happiness
Imploring me into its vast fullness
Why would I not drink of its sweetness?

Crimson Horror

Healed
My redemption
By his death
Blows of crimson horror
With his stripes I am healed.

Purposed
My salvation
Through his torture
Nails of crimson horror
His chastisement brought me peace.

Eternal
My forgiveness
At the cross
Iniquity paid in crimson horror
Past, present and future sins,

Crimson Agent

The stain remained
Terror of death
Bleakness
Conscious condemned
Hopelessness

Distorted shame
Faiths obstruction
Demanded
Ruinous guilt
Cursed

Crimson agent
Cleansing relief
Transform
Eternal life
Freedom

The blood of Christ
Total forgiveness
Endless
Clear conscious
Righteous.

Joined in crimson union eternally made secure
Holy, righteous, forgiven cemented in God’s abundant grace.

Crimson Truth

Was Christ’s death enough?
To justify all those who believe
To free all in sins chains
Life to all who receive

The cross is freedom from the law
Nothing else is necessary
Nothing else is needed
Nothing else is required
Nothing added

The cross is grace to everyone
Eternal life to all who believe
Crimson truth to cleanse sins stain
The answer to all who receive

Crimson Justified

In Christ alone is acceptance
Condemnation consumed
Nothing now can separate us
From the love of God
The power of perfection in union
New life inside abound

If the world rejects us
He accepts us in his grace
If the world hates us
He loves us in his grace.

In Christ death is freedom
Crimson justified
Now we have his perfection
By relationship in God
The glory of heaven in union
Invades our tortured mind.

Crimson Chalice

I can taste the wine
The golden nectar of eternity
The ruby stream of separation
Crimson chalice
Stream of separation.

I can see the sky
The dismal clouds that threaten me
The grey domain of glory
A silver heaven
Domain of glory.

I can smell the flower
The sweet scent of presence
The luscious dream of nature
Shivered shadows
Dream of nature.

I can hear your voice
The affliction of your breath
The indifferent waffle without meaning
 A distant tune
Without meaning.

I can feel your touch
The cold marble of midnight
The early frost of winter
Passing immortality
Frost of winter.

I can sense your spirit
The warm ghost of your whisper
The rushing flow of the river
Soundless surrender
Flow of the river.

Crimson Vial

The cord that reconciles
Justice held in suspense
Innocent blood eternally spent
Incense offered
Rebellions judgment
Crimson vial.

Forgiven my debts and declared me rich,
Cancelled my failure and declared me a success,
Buried my sinful nature and created me a new creation,
Killed my orphan heart and adopted me as his son,
Released me from the law and declared me righteous,
Ended my separation and made me his holy vessel.

Through his suffering declaration
Justified in streams of scarlet
Became what I deserved
Incense offered
Redemptions attire
Crimson vial.

Crimson Drops

It cost me nothing
To go free
Receive new life
Forgiven.

It cost Jesus life
His poured out blood
To settle the debt unpaid
Forgiveness.

How precious the news
Reconciled to god
My sin no longer remembered
Forgotten

How beautiful Christ is
The crimson drops
Cancels my sins
Forever.
