Crimson Chalice

A wine from a pure vine
Shared in tender beauty
Poured out from a crimson chalice.

Taste the sharpness of the fruit
Strong sweetness entwined with goodness
Scarlet blossom, delicate richness.

From a rich nectar ruby drops seep
Delicate tears cascade, overflow, so
drink the dew and be thankful.

(I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:6)
