Crimson Tree

I love to boast
In the cross that saved me

That purchased my ransom
That paid the price
And in his suffering

There on the crimson tree

Everything that I enjoy
Was freely given to me

I died with Christ
It was my corpse
Raised as a new creation
Raised into new life

It was all obtained at the cross
He took what I deserved

Now awaken to the truth
Alive to all his grace.

  1. I've just started re-reading some of Chesterton's poetry, and it really strikes me as I read yours, how many wonderfully different ways there are to observe the central Truth.

Thank you for reading my poems. Please don't feel you have to comment. I enjoyed writing them, I hope you enjoyed reading them, Be blessed.
